I’ve gotten a lot of attention lately because I finally managed to lose some of the weight I had been struggling with.  My story isn’t really unique – I was a chubby girl, an average teenager, and a not thin but not really fat young adult.

Over the years, my weight has gone up and down. Sometimes I’m at “goal” and sometimes I’m 50 — or even 60 — pounds away from it.  I know the frustration that comes with it.  I know the feeling of trying everything, not to see the scale budge.  And I know firsthand the costs that come with it.  After all, each new plan, each new book, each new program has a price tag associated with it.

As a woman, and a business owner, I know that what I look like — including my weight — has a huge impact on my business, my earnings and my perception.  As much as I don’t like caring about what other people might think — I need to.  I also have to admit that I like my body better when it’s on the smaller side.  I can do more things.  I have more energy. I like how I look in my clothes.

What would it be like if weight loss was easy?  What if you could eat, not be hungry, go on vacation, and still make progress on your goals?

As a mom, I really wanted to stop the cycle of finding a new diet plan every three months.  I wanted to model healthy eating habits for my boys — and healthy activity habits.  I didn’t want to be obsessive or crazy. I also wanted to be a great female role model.  I want my boys to eventually find partners who have healthy habits.

I’ve done a number of things in the last few months — and I’m going to share what I’ve learned that has helped me lose more than 25 pounds – and counting.  I’m also going to offer to help you make the changes for yourself.
