One of the requirements when registering a trademark is that the business actually use the mark “in commerce.”  What does that mean?

Generally, “in commerce” means you use the mark to help sell your goods or services.  Some good examples that you can submit as the evidence that you use the mark this way include:

  • Marketing brochures
  • Advertisements
  • Webpages
  • Sales Pages
  • Sales Letters
  • Business Cards
  • Invoices
